Parking Space Finder (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy.
This Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the Parking Space Finder mobile application or any related web services (collectively, the “Service”).
| Data Category | Examples | Purpose | Stored By Us?* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Precise Location | GPS position while you use the map | Show nearby parking spots & routing | No |
| Device Identifiers | An operating-system generated identifier (e.g. IDFV) | Basic app functionality, limited analytics, fraud prevention | No |
| Product-Interaction & Usage Data | Screen views, taps, feature use | Improve features, understand app performance | No – aggregated only |
| Advertising Data | Non-personal ad-request metadata (app version, device model, language) | Serve ads & measure their performance | No – handled by ad partners |
| Crash / Diagnostic Logs | Crash stack traces, error codes | Detect bugs, increase stability | No – automatically anonymised |
| IP address in server logs | Incoming connection IPs | Defend against abuse & DDoS | Yes – rotated/anonymised ≤ 30 days |
* “Stored By Us” means held on our own servers in a form that could identify you.
We do not request or store your name, email address, contact list, photos, or any other information that directly identifies you.
Your live location never leaves your device. It is used instantly to query local parking spots and then discarded. We do not keep historical location records, nor do we combine location with any other identifiers.
We rely on a small set of industry-standard providers for essential functions:
| Purpose | Provider category | Data Shared |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics (aggregated, pseudonymised event counts) | Mobile-analytics platform | Usage Data, Device Identifier (pseudonymised) |
| In-App Ads (contextual unless you opt-in) | Mobile advertising networks | Advertising Data; Device Identifier if personalised ads are enabled |
| Purchase Processing | App-store payment system | Transaction metadata required to fulfil purchases |
All providers are bound by their own publicly available privacy terms and are required to process data on our behalf only for the purposes listed above.
Personalised ads & tracking:
We request your consent, via the platform’s privacy prompt, before enabling any cross-app tracking or personalised advertising. If you decline, ads remain non-personalised and we disable sharing of the advertising identifier.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Analytics event aggregates | 60 days |
| Advertising performance metrics | Up to 180 days (per ad-network defaults) |
| Crash / diagnostic logs | 90 days |
| Security logs (IP addresses) | 30 days, then deleted or anonymised |
Opt-Out of Personalised Ads / Tracking
You can change your consent at any time:
Location Sharing
Disable location permissions in your device settings to stop all location collection (functionality will be limited).
The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Our providers may process data on servers located outside your country.
In such cases, we ensure adequate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) are in place.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, or restrict the processing of your data, and to object to certain processing activities.
Because we hold no direct personal identifiers, requests are ordinarily fulfilled by resetting the device identifier and deleting associated aggregate logs.
To exercise any right, email us (see § 11).
